Hey, I got a Dell i5 64 bit on which I was using Office for past 2 years. So I uninstalled Office from control Panel and tried to reinstall it.
But despite my efforts, it wouldn't install and also at the end gives the error of Boot strapper. Here is what I have done up till now:. I am really tired and dont know what to do. I have tried everything on different forums but no use. Please help! First of all it is not good idea to uninstall Office If you have a problem you can go to control panel and instead of uninstalling office right click on it and then click on change.
You will be given two choices, quick repair and online repair. The online repair reinstalls Office but retains your settings etc. If that does not work see if they can assist you at Answer Desk technical help. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help.
PS: also have a look at: Office - Installation error, bootstrapper has stopped working. Don't forget to export AppCompatFlags key to your desktop so that you have a backup if anything goes wrong. Search the community and support articles Install, redeem, activate Microsoft and Office Search Community member. Here is what I have done up till now: 1. Simply Uninstall and Reinstall it. Tried to Install 32 Bit Office 3. Renamed and deleted 'Microsoft Help' to Microsoft Help. OLD 4. Checked Task Scheduler which is already running 5.
Run the Install Setup as an Administrator 6. Tried to Install in Different Drives 7. Used Fixit to remove all traces of Office 8. Since I can not delete it, I can not go any further which this solution.
In reply to saashe's post on June 27, Try using regedit as administrator by right clicking on it and choosing 'run as administrator'. This site in other languages x.
